555 E Street, SW is located in the rapidly redeveloping Southwest quadrant of Washington, DC, just four blocks south of the National Mall. CityPartners has led the development team to conceptualize and design a twelve-story, mixed-use asset at 555 E Street, SW, that will include a 253-room European style hotel on one portion of the site and a residential component on the other portion of the site. There will also be 10,000 square feet of residential, and underground parking.
The residential will be comprised of 136 market rate multifamily rental units and 58 units of deeply affordable housing for seniors 62 and older. This innovative approach ensures that of the 58 efficiency and one-bedroom affordable housing units, 43 will be rent restricted to be affordable for those making 50% of the DC Area Median Income (AMI), 7 will be Permanent Supportive Housing units for vulnerable seniors who earn 30% AMI or less, and the remaining 8 units will be non-PSH voucher units for seniors who earn 30% AMI or less. The PSH units will be served by local nonprofit Community Connections of DC, which will ensure that the PSH tenants have all the tools and skills necessary to live safely in an independent setting.
